DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CLASSES / PRIVATE LESSONS

Each different class level is described below so that you can see where to fit it.

£8.00 per hour pro rata *

BEGINNER LEVELS:

All beginner level classes cover the basics of 3 dances in Ballroom (Waltz, Quickstep, Social Foxtrot),

and 3 in Latin-American (Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Rumba) - i.e. the "Basic 6" dances.

BRAND NEW BEGINNERS - No dance experience necessary - you probably have 2 left feet!

Introduction to 4 basic dances (Waltz / Social Foxtrot / Cha Cha Cha / Jive)

BEGINNERS  (After 2-3 weeks of Brand New Beginners).

Developing first moves in Basic 6 dances

BEGINNER PLUS 

Best if you are: able to "get around the floor" with the music.

Addition of simple figures in Basic 6 dances. 

IMPROVER LEVELS:

Each of these levels goes beyond the Basic 6 dances (in stages).

IMPROVER LEVEL 1 

Best if you can comfortably get around the floor with music in Basic 6 dances.

Addition of 1 -2 figures in each of the Basic 6.

Introducing Tango and Samba.

IMPROVER LEVEL 2 

Best if you can confidently get around the floor in Basic 6 dances.

Developing Basic 6 dances further (including the  Tango and Samba).

Introducing Foxtrot and Paso Doble. 

IMPROVER LEVEL 3 

Best if you are confident to dance!

Developing Foxtrot and Paso Doble just beyond basic moves.

Additional figures in other dances.

IMPROVER LEVEL 4 - Developing all dances beyond basics - introducing variations.

IMPROVER LEVEL 5 - Advanced variations in all dances.

PRIVATE LESSONS

These offer 1 to 1 tuition for any aspect or level of dancing, in any style.
For up to 4 people. 

They can be used to improve your dancing, refresh, catch up if you have missed some sessions,

or just in preference to attending a general class. Available to book at either location. 

£36.00 per hour (pro rata) **

MINI PRIVATE CLASSES are available if you and a group of friends (i.e. more than 4) who would like to learn something specific together. Normal class rates (per person) will apply.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING for IDTA qualifications (Ballroom/Latin/Sequence). £50 per hour

 *Please note: Class rates will rise to £9 per person (pro rata) on 1st March 26.

**Private Lessons will rise to £37.00 per hour (pro rata)

This is due to a rent increase.

Prices were last increased in June 2023.
